A Little Book Company
In 2001, one of Ireland’s most successful book publishers,
Seamus Cashman, founder of Wolfhound Press (now an imprint of Merlin
Publishing), suggested to best-selling investigative author Don
Mullan that he compile and introduce A Little Book of Thérèse, based
on the writings of the young 19th century French Carmelite mystic,
Thérèse of Lisieux. At the time Mullan was compiling a book of testimonies
and reflections (A Gift of Roses) about an extraordinary public
response to a tour of the young saint’s relics in Ireland.
A Little Book of Thérèse of Lisieux and A Little Book
of Francis of Assisi were published in 2002 by Columba Press (Ireland)
and Pauline Books and Media (USA). Both little books are currently
being reproduced in their original language and, as demand arises,
in other languages.
Following the successful publication of both little
books, Mullan was asked to compile and introduce a series of some
20 or 30 little books over the following five years. To date, he
has published eight, all of which are available from Columba Press.
